"It had been so long since he had reached for her. Against her will, she let out a sob as he rubbed warmth into her hands. And suddenly she didn't care if he was still angry, if he wasn't ready yet, or if she was being selfish. Desperately, she grabbed a hold of him and embraced him tightly, burying her face into his chest. She felt his arms gingerly encircle her. She felt his hands stroke her back and she heard him whisper, 'It's okay. I'm here.' 
She knew she couldn't stop the tears now 
if she tried."
